Grainger, North America’s leading broad-line supplier of maintenance, repair and operating product, welcomed 15,000 attendees at their annual trade show that brought together customers, suppliers and Grainger team members nationwide to discuss emerging trends in areas such as inventory management, e-commerce and safety. It was a thrilling event for Bags Inc., as we handled more than 10,000 bags in less than 12 hours. How did we capture the excitement of the conference? We utilized social media to communicate with event planners and attendees. The Grainger Show hashtag (#GraingerShow) had more than 56,000 impressions on Twitter.

Bags Inc. Year-In-Review 2013

To say that this has been a busy year for Bags Inc. would be a major understatement. In our more than 20 year history of making travel easier, 2013 will go down as one of the company’s most eventful years.

We first began offering our Bags VIP luggage delivery service in 2012, available out of a limited number of airports for passengers flying on select airlines. Now, in 2013 — after the establishment of partnerships with the major U.S. airlines — we are able to offer the Bags VIP service at more than 250 U.S. airports across every state.

In addition to the expansion of Bags VIP, we have also expanded our Bags Airline Check-In service in 2013 by forming new partnerships across the country. Highlights include the first partnership between Bags Inc. and a shopping center, where we provide concierge services and remote airline check-in service to guests at the Fashion Outlets of Chicago. We’ve also brought the convenience of remote airline check-in to Las Vegas resorts and casinos, additional cruise lines, additional hotels, and many more.

Not to be outdone, Bags Parking & Guest Services had a busy year in 2013 providing parking management, valet, and guest services for numerous events and conferences, including UCF basketball games, the press conference announcing the addition of Orlando City Soccer Club as Major League Soccer’s 21st team, and many more. Bags Parking & Guest Services has also established several new partnerships with major hotels and resorts.   

This rapid expansion of services — all in the name of making travel easier — also required the expansion of our staff and the establishment of a more robust online presence. In 2013, we launched our new consumer website along with rejuvenated social media channels. Now, you can follow us on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and our Bags Inc. blog for travel advice and company news. And — to complete our online revamp — we introduced our new corporate website to better explain to our business partners the many benefits of partnering with Bags Inc.

We’ve had many successes in 2013, but we’re looking forward to the coming year where big plans are in the works. At Bags Inc., we always find new ways to accomplish our mission, so stay tuned for even easier travel in 2014.  

Orlando City Named 21st Major League Soccer Team

Bags Parking & Guest Services had the honor of providing valet parking for the press conference held to announce the addition of Orlando City Soccer Club as Major League Soccer’s 21st club. The announcement was made at Church Street’s Cheyenne Saloon, where Bags Inc. began as a valet parking company over 23 years ago. Attendees included team owners, league officials, the mayor of Orlando, the mayor of Orange County, and the governor of Florida.

Orlando City will debut in 2015, the league’s 20th season, with a new downtown Orlando stadium. The team will also don jerseys with, for the first time in the league’s 18 year history, a purple color-scheme.

The event was a great success and Bags Inc. is excited to have another professional sports team based out of our corporate headquarters’ home town of Orlando.

Bags Inc. Opens Second Season of Valet Parking for UCF Basketball

On November 8, 2013, Bags Inc. began its second season of providing valet parking at the CFE arena for UCF basketball games. The CFE Arena, which opened in 2007, is the largest live entertainment and sports facility in East Orlando and home to UCF men’s and women’s basketball.

We expect a busy and exciting year of basketball; the UCF Knights are now part of the newly created American Athletic Conference and will host home games against Florida State, Memphis, UConn, Cincinnati, Temple, USF, and the defending national champion Louisville Cardinals on New Year’s Eve.

Orlando based Bags Inc., the world leader in luggage delivery and multi-airline remote check-in services, embarked into the mall services business by launching its innovative concierge service that includes Bags Airline Check-In and Bags VIP Luggage Delivery services. The Bags services will be offered when the Fashion Outlets of Chicago, the first fully-enclosed outlet mall built in Chicago in more than two decades, opens its doors today.

Bags Inc. to Serve Fashion Outlets of Chicago

Fashion Outlets of Chicago, where Bags Inc will be providing concierge and guest services, as well as Bags Airline Check-In services.

Bags Parking and Guest Services has partnered with Fashion Outlets of Chicago to provide an innovative concierge service that includes Bags Airline Check-In at the brand new mall scheduled to open August 1st of this year. For a nominal fee, travelers will be able to check their excess baggage for their flights and get their boarding passes at the Bags Inc. concierge desk in the mall, and then take a shuttle directly to the airport, free from the hassles of hauling luggage to the airport and free to do some last minute shopping at the Fashion Outlets.

Additionally Bags will be running all concierge services for the mall including restaurant reservations, bag check, lost and found, and package shipping. Travelers can also upgrade to the Bags VIP luggage delivery service and have their bags delivered to any address within 100 miles of their destination airport.

I don’t know his name, but one of the valet attendants provided exceptional service. Even though I did self parking, he walked me through where to go, what to do, and got my bags taken care of. Wish I knew his name. From that great start, every employee, from the parking lot attendant to the front desk, was terrific and made me feel welcome. The bellhop was helpful and courteous and explained what the hotel had and where everything was. EVERYONE was first class. Thank you.
